2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJV)
Now then we are Ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
-
Pastor: James Waddell
Pastor Waddell stands unashamedly on the 1611 Authorized King James Bible – the Preserved Word of God in English (period).
God’s promise to preserve His Word is unconditional:
Psalm 119:89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Psalm 12:6,7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Our stance on the Word of God:
We already have the Preserved Word of God in English in our hands with the 1611 Authorized King James Bible. So, this is the only version of scripture that we will ever use for faith, doctrine, and practice. It is and forever shalt be the only scripture that we use for preaching, Sunday school, Junior church, personal devotions, and scripture memorization. The 1611 Authorized King James Bible exclusively used the Hebrew Masoretic text for the Old Testament, and the Greek textus receptus text for the New Testament. Any other English version is based on the corrupted Alexandrian – Westcott, and Hort, Greek text, including the RSV, NIV, and NKJV. Those Bibles are corrupted and rejected by this body of believers.
Our stance on the Mission of the Church:
Christ’s order to the church is simple, and was given in Matthew’s gospel, as well as, in Mark’s gospel.
Matthew 28:19,20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
Mark 16:15-16 (KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.Based on Christ’s Great Commission – soul winning, and the edification of the saved believer are the two highest priorities for the New Testament church.
Our stance on music meant for worship of the Lord: (i.e. – our music standards!)
God’s Word is clear on this subject!
That admonition is given in Colossians 3: 16 …
Colossians 3:16 (KJV) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And also, in Ephesians 5:19 …
Ephesians 5:19 (KJV) Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Thus, the only music you will hear at Ambassadors for Christ Baptist Church is Christ-honoring psalms, time-honored hymns, and spiritual songs.
Our preaching style:
Pastor Waddell preaches the entire counsel of God’s Word. No subject is off-limits to the Pastor’s preaching. Evil is real. Sin is real. Hell is real. Therefore, as a Preacher of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word, Pastor Waddell is committed to speak the truth in love, and is also committed to warning folks about the consequence of rejecting Jesus Christ as one’s own personal Saviour. It is imperative that every soul make a decision to receive Christ as their own personal Saviour before they die. Folks, less than every 2 seconds someone dies without Christ. Therefore, every sermon that Pastor Waddell preaches will conclude with the Gospel presentation, and an invitation to receive Christ as one’s Saviour.
Our motivation:
The greatest need here in America and around the world is for people to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Time in our Church Age is running out. We are fast approaching the Tribulation Period, and ultimately, the Millennial Reign of Christ where Jesus Christ will rule and reign from Jerusalem for one thousand years. No power on earth, or in the heavens will stop GOD from accomplishing His mission to restore the earth to its Edenic form.
The day is coming when the Devil will have to face his Maker, and to answer for his sins. Satan will be defeated; there is no question about that. Satan chose to sin, and sadly mankind (Adam) joined the Devil in his rebellion against a Holy God. Well, there is a day of judgment coming for all of us. Ultimately, Satan will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. Mankind will also have to face God in judgment as well. Every soul that has ever lived that have not repented of their sin, and received Christ as their Saviour (before death) will be condemned to the lake of fire for eternity. They will forever be separated from God.
This fact of life motivates this body of believers to be soul-winners for the Lord, and Ambassadors for Christ!
